TABOR IN THE MONTH OF MARCH

Within the month of March our students took part in the following activities:

  • We held a Performing Arts showcase evening at the school on Thursday 30th March.  The audience were treated to various Drama pieces and some amazing music performances
  • On the 21st March Years 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13 attended a special assembly on Apprenticeships led by Make Happen
  • To celebrate National Careers Week, students across all year groups were involved in activities about their future aspirations.
  • All year groups finished the term with an Achievement Assembly where hard work and Achievement and good behaviour were recognised and celebrated.  A number of awards were given out and it was great to see the students smiling and proud of what they had achieved.

We visited the following places:

  • 100 Year 7 students visited Harry Potter World at the Warner Bros Studio.  They had a magical time and returned to school with many stories about their day.
  • Year 9 and 10 students enjoyed our 2nd overseas residential trip since COVID.  They went to Normandy in France staying at the Chateau De Molay.  They visited a French Market where they bought food to prepare a meal back at the Chateau.  They went to a goat’s cheese farm where they mingled with the goats and sampled a variety of different cheeses.  They visited Bayeux and saw the famous Tapestry.  This was an amazing experience.  Students also visited a World War 2 cemetery.  So much was crammed into the 3 night stay.  Students really enjoyed the experience and we will be returning next year.
  • Year 13 A Level Geography students went to Mersea Island and Year 11 and 12 Geography students visited Walton on the Naze to undertake their fieldwork studies.
  • Year 7 went to Colchester Zoo for the day.
