Tabor Academy Remembers

Back
November 7th 2025

Once again Tabor Academy remembered the fallen at their annual service of remembrance. The event which gives thanks to all those who have sacrificed so much was attended by esteemed quests, military personal, the Lord Lieutenant and the entire Tabor Academy Community. All children in unison remembering the past and the present.

The Remembrance Assembly is led by the Head boy and Head girl with speakers across all year groups remembering the 80th Anniversary of VE Day- the focus of this years act of remembrance.  Poetry, musical performances, and drama brought to live the reality of war and what many still face today. Standard bearers raised and lowered the flags as wreaths were laid to represent different organisations and military personnel from across the commonwealth. The National Anthem ended the assembly and the children’s conduct was impeccable.

Headteacher Kelly Brown said she is incredibly proud of all her children and the courage and respect they show each year at this impressive assembly. We will always remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
