Year 11 Careers Event

The year 11 students went to the Chelmsford Racecourse Careers Event. There were over 50 different stalls representing many different companies from HSBC to Robotics Ltd, covering a wide range of industries from Accounting to Engineering.
Students were given advice on how they can apply for these careers in the future, what the entry requirement is and how to gain work experience in the field during the Summer holidays.
The students enjoyed the event and took much needed guidance from it. One student said “Before this event I was certain on the Industry that I wanted to go into but now it has made me realise that there are so many, I don’t need to choose now and will keep my options open. I just need to get my GCSE’s first!”
Following this event each student will be met by the Careers Advisor Ms Jacks so that they can receive further advice.
Well done year 11, you were a credit to Tabor Academy.
