In the Month of September
BackTABOR IN THE MONTH OF September
Within the month of September our students took part in the following activities:
- Our various lunchtime and after school clubs were reactivated
- Different Music Clubs every day after school eg Rock Choir etc
- Spanish and French lunchtime clubs
- Anti-bullying Ambassadors began across all Year Groups
- Council Meetings
- Creative Writing Club
- Drama Clubs
- PE Clubs
- Science Club
- Japanese Club
- We celebrated European Day of Languages in various way during assemblies, the Library, lessons & clubs. Everyone, students and staff, would encouraged to teach someone something from their language
- On Tuesday 20th September, Year 7 watched a Road Safety Play which was followed by workshops.
- We visited our local feeder primary schools with 2 Year 7’s that used to attend that school to talk about life in secondary school and to promote our Open Evening / Coffee Mornings
- We held our Annual Open Evening on 29th September where we opened our doors to welcome prospective Year 6 students. The evening was a massive success with over 750 people coming through the door.
We visited the following places:
- Year 11 visited Chelmsford Racecourse for the North West Essex Careers Fair. Their behaviour was impeccable and Tabor were commended by the organisers for our conduct.
- Selected Year 9 students visited Layer Marney Outdoors Centre as part of the RESPECT Project. All students got involved and were praised by the staff leading the sessions.
Tabor took part in the following sporting fixtures:
